There'll be no TV cameras where you're using this knife.
Ken Onion designed this big survival parang machete to make quick work of whatever stands between you and staying alive. It's got a carbon steel blade with a black powder coat that makes this knife durable in extreme environments. A traditional Southeast Asian blade shape -- combined with a modern ergonomic handle -- give this parang maximum cutting power, with minimal hand fatigue. Multiple lanyard holes in the handle let you choose where and how to attach a safety lanyard. This knife is built for hard use and even takes an edge in the field after you've finished cutting your way out of the bowels of the jungle.
The Halfachance™ survival parang includes a reinforced nylon sheath with a unique velcro belt loop system that can be changed between two positions: dangling or snug against the belt. An extra paracord fob comes laced on the sheath for emergencies or lashing the machete to a pack, truck, dual sport motorcycle or donkey.
There are knives you see on survival shows. Then there are knives that get you home safe when there's no camera crew and only Halfachance™ of survival.
