Colonel Conk Shave Soaps are made with a glycerine base and they also contain vitamin E and avocado oil to smooth the toughest of beards. They smell good, are easy to lather up and the lather goes on well. Lasts as long or longer than a standard can of shaving cream/gel. Gives a smooth shave and rinses allot cleaner than gels. 2.375 inch diameter.

Gave me a very pleasant first-time shave this morning with plenty of nice smelling lather and a smooth barrier between face and blade. For a low-cost soap it performed great.

I've tried all four of the Colonel Conk shaving soal flavors. I like them all and my face fells silky smooth and lubricated with them all. My favorite is the Amber. The scent of this soap is understated. I like Conk's shave soap better than most, because it has more lubrication than some others and the price is good.

There are better fancier products, with more smell or effect on the skin, but these work well for me. I don't care to spend over $10 on a block of shave soap.

I highly recommend this soap to any wet shaver - beginner or expert.

Colonel Conk's amber shaving soap is an excellent product. It lathers up with a rich, thick, slick and protective foam that provides an exceptionally close nick-free shave and leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth. It also rinses easily. I personally like the smell, which to me is very much like Neutrogena's amber soap.

The only complaint I have with this product is that the smell doesn't last as long as I'd like! Of course, this isn't a defect of the product at all, as it's shaving soap, not after-shave.

The soap works up a good lather reasonably easily and leaves my skin feeling smooth. I am happy with it, and would recommend it to others.
