Havalon Havel's 70XT Rounded Tip Carbon Steel Surgical Blade, Box of 100. These rounded tip surgical blades of the #70XT blade were designed to make it more difficult to puncture through skin while you are working. The No. #70 scalpel blade is also the thickest scalpel blade and this makes it also the longest-lasting edge for skinning, autopsy or taxidermy work. The extra thickness of these superb blades also gives the #70 blade outstanding resistance to breakage.

The 70XT blades fit the #8 handle and the #74 handle only. The 70XT taxidermy blades DO NOT fit the Piranta knife; these premium scalpel blades are too thick for the Piranta fitment grooves.

Your order includes one box of 100 foil wrapped blades. These disposable scalpel blades are also marketed as #70, NS70XT, 70A and 70XT.

These blades for taxidermy, skinning, gutting, surgery, autopsies, postmortem, crafts, research purposes, etc... work great!

I order 70xt blades from you all twice a month thanks for being awesome.

Used 70A blades this year to field dress/skin 4 antelope. 1 blade per animal and still sharp on completion of task. Blunt point is great for not piercing thin hide when skinning while still Havalon sharp. These thicker blades mean they dont break nearly as easily as the original 60XT blades do/did.

The Havalon knives are outstanding for dressing deer and cutting various types of meat. I recommend them to everyone. The only problem I have with the knives is that I go through a lot of blades. I am not saving that the blades are cheap or anything, I just use the knives A LOT! This purchase was perfect! I received 100 blades for a fraction of what it would have cost me to buy them in smaller units. The knives are the same as what you would buy from other places and much much cheaper. I am very satisfied with my purchase. These blades are going to last me a long long time.

Can't beat these! Love my havalon #8 handle and these heavy-duty blades fit it perfectly! No more sharpening knives! And with prices like this you should have no excuse to have a dull blade!

Like others have said, these thick blades are incredibly strong and sharp. I use mine in the #8 handle. The work great on dressing out large game animals.

These blades are thicker and stronger than the XT60 used in the Piranta. I like to use them with the #8 comfort grip handle.

The blades are razor sharp and fit the handle perfectly.

These blades are remarkably strong and uniformly sharp. They come individually foil wrapped in a box containing 100 blades. I use them for skinning and for taxidermy. Highly recommend.

Sharp and does its job. I like these thick round tip blades because they don not break and the round tip does not puncture through the hide.
Big W on 03/29/2016 07:20am
This is the best blade for taxidermy. It is very heavy, stays sharp, and takes a lot to break compared to other blades. The cutting tip is very useful.
OsoGrande came through for me when I could find them nowhere else. I will be ordering more from them in the future for sure.
