I went on a hog hunt and saw how easily the guide skinned a gut a boar hog with a Piranta.when the blade dulled after doing three hogs he just threw it in a garbage container he brought and carried it out the field. The Piranta is a valuable tool for the hunter, give it a try for yourself.%uFEFF

I'vd hunted all over N.A. and have a big collection of knives, many of which are pricy. I consider this the best knife I own and it takes the stronger 60A blades (The standard blades also fit). I have helped butcher many moose and elk with my hunting compadres over the years. This is sharper than any other knife I have. They are the sharpest knives available. Boning an animal requires sharpness and not brute strength. For times where strength is required, use a saw or hatchet.

This knife is wonderful for skinning and straight line cutting. Once you realize that there are realistic limitation with this product and use if for what it is intended for there is no problem. Don't twist it and don't use it for cutting bone and connective tissue. Blades are unbelievable. This knife is sharp. With the right type of use blade will last a long time.

If you like a knife that you have to fight and dulls quick, then this is not the knife for you. I have used this multiple times and have not found anything reasonable that this will not cut. It will slice through any meat like a hot knife through butter. The only slight concern is the blades are similar to a razor blade and they can snap. However, they offer replacement blades so you will be back to cutting very quickly.
