Read Reviews | Write a ReviewI've been using Derby Extra blades for more than 12 years. Quality is fantastic. The blades seem to be manufactured in Turkey and as stated have had no issues with them.
I shave every other day - medium heavy beard, and get 5 or 6 shaves per blade using two passes per shave. After 3 shaves I flip the blade over and get another 3 (usually) shaves. So each blade lasts me about two weeks. At the price these are going for it's only a few cents per shave -- a tremendous value.

The Derby blade (made, I believe, in Turkey) is not the sharpest blade out there but, in my mind, achieves the perfect balance between sharpness and smoothness: Sharp enough not to snag on tough bristles, but not so sharp as to make cuts and soreness inevitable. 100 of these will give you over a year of shaves - I find I can get at least five shaves out of a single blade with no decline in quality.
These Derby blades are a very good blade at a great price. These are my "go to" blades... the standard to which I hold other blades up to in comparison. Wet shavers new to double edge shaving should use these blades as their starter blade. There are some sharper blades on the market - but it is hard to beat theses blades for their combination of sharpness, durability, shaver friendliness (few nicks) and price. You won't go wrong.
