Non-Locking Slip Joint Folders
Most classic style pocket knives and gentleman's knives have a slip joints which means that the blade does not lock, but once opened, is held in place by tension from a flat bar or leaf-type backspring that allows the blade to fold if a certain amount of pressure is applied. More recently there has been a trend towards larger knives featuring slip joints such as Spyderco's Slipit line. These knives are legal in areas where locking blades are not.
The laws in many parts of the Europe and even some places in the US have made locking knives are illegal. As a result, Spyderco, Boker, Kabar and many other leading knife manufacturers have developed non-locking knives that are stylish, well-built and reliable as well as socially friendly. These include the Spyderco Roadie, Spyderco Urban models and the UK Knives.
Our order was received Thursday evening and my co-workers were all completely satisfied with their knives. Completely happy with the whole experience.
