Cold Steel 97KPM18S Kopis Machete with sheath. The Kopis Machete is modeled closely on an ancient sword design that was held in high esteem by the Greeks, Romans, and Spaniards. This was because its uniquely shaped blade had the weight forward balance that was optimal for cutting and chopping, yet it retained a sharp useful point for thrusting as well. Our Kopis Machete is equipped with a traditional semi-D ring guard reinforced throughout by the steel tang and is delivered with a sturdy, thick nylon sheath.

I opted for the kopis machete over the kukri machete. The blade is light and lively and handles great. Razor sharp out the box. Looks badass!!! Cuts through small branches with ease. Very intimidating looking.

I received this machete as a gift. It was ordered from this site. This machete is very sharp and the point goes through soft wood like butter. It is very light and easy to swing. The machete is for light duty. The machete is not for hacking away at larger pieces of wood. I added parachord through the hole in the handle for easier draw from sheath. The handle can be slippery if not wearing gloves or applying tape for better grip. The biggest problem was that there was a company sticker on the blade. Removing it required some type of remover. Make sure to oil blade after use. Also, the sheath does not have any time of string to secure lower half to leg. It will flop around on you.

Chops through thick brush like butter and light enough to swing all day. cutdown small trees etc but pack a sharpening tool%uFEFF.
