The Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) is the FBI's elite Special Operations tactical and counterterrorism SWAT Team. The HRT is trained to rescue US citizens who may be held illegally by hostile forces, either terrorist or criminal. Smith & Wesson has made a series of knives with this job in mind. The HRT knives are designed to meet the specific needs of these Military and Law Enforcement applications, and they mean business!

With the Smith & Wesson HRT2, Taylor Cutlery expands their neck knife lines with this new "claw" style model. Each knife is made of 440 Stainless steel, and designed to be used as either a defensive or rescue tool. Ergonomics are taken care of by the addition of two palm swelling scales, which add a degree of comfort to the smoothly flowing handle shape. A hole in the knife itself serves two purposes: It allows the user to keep the knife secure, with no danger of the knife sliding forward or backwards in their grip; and It allows the overall size to be reduced - the knife fits comfortably in your closed fist! Each knife comes fully serrated (perfect for making short work of seatbelts, cardboard, etc).The S&W HRT2 Hostage Rescue Team Badge Knife comes complete with black molded composition sheath which can be worn on the neck with the addition of your lanyard.
