I have a couple Havalons and love them. I bought this because it's a bit stiffer and less likely to break a blade if I get a bit crazy boning or caping an elk. I will still carry the Havalon as well for real intricate stuff or easy jobs but if you have to dig a bit these blades won't break as easily. I absolutely hate that it is made in China though I should have checked before I bought it and should have known better. I try to avoid things made in China as much as possible and will pay much more for things made in the USA when I can but this seems to be of good quality.
Love it! Light and sharp, easy to change blades and well made.
Awesome knife I have one and bought this one for a friend after he saw me quarter my elk. Only used one blade.
