The ETAK folding combat knife is an acronym for "Emerson Tactical Assault Knife". The Emerson ETAK folder is a modern tactical folding knife that is based on Ernest Emerson's vast cutlery knowledge, knifemaking skills and lifetime experience. The ETAK has been designed to be used as a cutting tool for emergency use that also serves as a combat weapon, utility knife and a great tactical EDC knife.

Two models of the ETAK folder are available. The Model ETAK-A has a clip point style blade and Model ETAK-B has a tanto blade. Both models feature the Emerson Wave Opening feature along with an ambidextrous thumb disc.  The blades are available in your choice of Black or Stonewash finish.  The ergonomic handle shape with a forward low guard and medium textured G-10 scales provides a great grip in the forward or reverse grip configurations.  Lockup is via a titanium liner lock and the frame is titanium (both of which are Emerson signatures). The Emerson ETAK is a hard use knife that you can rely on when the chips are down.
